Who doesn't like the summer? "Levemente" by Sumergido reminds us of the warm season. The four relaxed electro tracks of the EP range between House and Dub, always light and a little playful. You just notice that the summer of Buenos Aires never ends. Apart from Sumergido's tracks you'll find remixes by Glander and Scaff.

Emmerichk's music is a wilful mix of sound carpets, clicks-and-cuts and rhythmical micro-structures. Many tracks also adress dancefloor audience as minimal an dub techno elements are involved in these songs. Emmerichk's Nebadon EP on Yuki Yaki offers Minimal House tunes with an edge. Crispy clicks and cuts garnish warm floating chords at cosy minor over a well composed layer of hypnotically pounding rhythms - never to fast to spoil the relaxed scenery. And it is a real pity that all delightful...

Scaff aka Meic Kluge has been loving to deal with regulators and knobs for 17 years. After his origin in the Pre-Midi-Aeara he had been touring as one half of the minimal-techno act "Wellenreiter" through Germany during the mid of the 1990ies. Always in search of the perfect beat and a whole lot curiosity for innovations. Now he seems to have concluded it. His love for patch calbles and his discontent with modern technics lead him back to the achievements of the 70ies and 80ies:...

Having the Andes mountains as natural reverberation device it's no surprise that Alisu (= girl) and Rolancho (= boy) spend a good deal of time to blend ravine-deep textures with intense rhythms - playing hide and seek somewhere in the grey urban area between minimal techno and glitchy experimentalism. Get caught by the beat, take a breath and back-pedal its meaning in your own neuro patterns, get caught again, and so on and so forth. The concept of Manzping's first EP for Yuki Yaki - after...

Zofa keeps a moderate pace on his 5-tracker for Yuki Yaki which appears to underline the comfy furniture reference of the name itself. Zofa seems to be more after the slightly abstract dim-lit glamour of an artisan bar than after floor-breaking excitement. This minimalist cocktail has to be served chilled!

First Yuki Yaki Release. It always sets a friendly smile on your face if you realise that an artist is capable of more than just repeating himself. Everyone would have expected some more relaxed soundscaping from Danish producer Lars Pellarin but with this EP you will definitely be surprised. Minimal House is the magic that enchants all five epically extensive tracks. Edgy clicks in fraternizing conjunction with sweeping House chords float on a driving heartthrob of crispy beats - reaching a...

Choenyi kicks off his Yuki Yaki debut with a 6-track EP. This is his third appearance after the remix on YkYk008 and his compilation track on YkYk005. He has created cold and dark tracks oscillating between Minimal Techno and Soundscapes. Profound beats are playing a main part in the conception of the tracks. The swinging Doma Fourth and the stomping hymn Triling can be located near Dance floor music. Spheric helicopter flights through a dark night. Choenyi's other issue is Dub. He has made it...

Humeka claims he has never been eager to re-invent music but to find his own interpretation of Techno, House, Dub and Ambient. And there is hardly a better description for his first release on Yuki Yaki. The six tracks and four remixes clearly state his love for sharp and crispy clicks and cuts wrapped in best Electronica classicism while his bias in beats seems to lead more into dry desert landscapes of minimal house and dub techno.

Maps And Diagrams' latest strike on classical electronica is also his first release on Yuki Yaki, which marks a little beatless respite after a number of more rhythmic outputs recently. Warmly droning ambient-textures with plenty of endless space echo, like in the good old days, dominate the album. Melancholy, contemplation and calm prevail - nicely wrapped in mysteriously shining soundscapes with a kiss of lo-fi noise. http://www.yukiyaki.org/releases/YkYk019/maps-and-diagrams/The-Giant-Woods

Simply titled "4th" - The aesthetics of the single sound, its destinctiveness and presence are more present than on its predecessor. But nonetheless, the sounds do not seem to be forlorn. Every track is its own microcosm of noise, click and motion. Always one leg on the dancefloor, the other in the lab, Emmerichk shows us his own definition of rhythm, groove and melody.

This Electronicaesque composed of fine cut Ambient sound imagery and IDM and Minimal House grooves does not require a huge philosophical backdrop behind each and every sonic transient. Under typical music-industrial circumstances four gloomy tracks named after Mesopotamian deities might have conjured up a lot of interpretations. But in this case we may just let the pictures arise in our audio-visual cortex without too much higher brain activity. Though there is still some space for a little bit...

Five lush Electronica pearls have been aligned to a handy EP under his most famous moniker, which shows certainly proof of not only some kind of concept but also of the unquestionable mastership that Esa exposes in all his musical works. Without trendy side blows some grumblers might call it traditional but the more enlightened listener is fairly aware that glistening tunes and sophisticated beat architecture in broad cinemascope will never ever become obsolete.

Daniel is a real minimalist, somewhere inbetween electronica classicism and minimal house. Hardly to imagine that you could strip down a rhythm more efficiently down to its very basic sound bits and bytes, while being hopelessly in love with innocent melodies. The cover of the release is part of the Nils Clauss ShowCase on Yuki Yaki.

Well, this 11th Yuki Yaki-release by '82nd ave, named "Crowd Of Zero", is nothing like nova musica, but its easiness and temperament, shown in songs like "Commuter Belt Booty Bass" or "Clear The Floor", feel really fresh and activate affectively a swinging nod, that sometimes even could extend to an uncontrollable jerking of the leg. And this is exactly what this kind of music is made for. Let us rock! David Williams himself supposes about the music of his debut...

The tracks on "Heavy Weights" really keep their promise. Each song has its own little world with plenty of room and its own life. And Glander takes a lot of time for these songs. The length of them seems to be unusual at the first glance but soon you'll understand that this is part of their secret. The tracks are captivating, some even hyptnotising. Hearing them, you will move your feet unconsciously. But you cannot make out their style: There are four fourths, of course, but they are...

The tracks on "Variations" follow the idea of making a "version of a main-theme", which you can find in classical dub-music. Equipped with reverb and delay sounds and based on a solid bass-grounding every track takes its own way. So please feel free to use the shuffle-function of you music player.

The man behind this strange moniker does not seem to be too eager to unveil is real identity or mission to his audience. And the four tracks of his release on Yuki Yaki insignificantly named Track 1 to Track 4 are not telling too many literal stories either. But anyway, is not music itself the best and most unpretentious mean of passing information? Cocoawildboars encode and encrypt their message pretty meticulously and it seems to directly aim at the dance instincts. Crispy breakbeats, closely...
